Steam-Baked Easy Amaretto Cake

This easy, semi-homemade cake is full of amaretto and almond flavor. I use the steam function of the Anova Precision Oven to help prevent the cake from drying out and to speed up its baking time. The result is a super moist cake.

Ingredients
1 (15.25-ounce) box
French vanilla or golden vanilla cake mix
1 (3.4-ounce) packet
French vanilla instant pudding mix
½ cup
whole milk
½ cup
vegetable oil
½ cup
amaretto liqueur
3 large
eggs
1 Tbsp
almond extract
½ tsp
vanilla extract
Powdered sugar, for serving
Steps

1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan

Rack
Turn on the oven. Use nonstick oil spray to thoroughly grease a 9 3/4-inch Bundt pan.
Sous Vide Mode: Off
Steam: 50%
Temp: 350°F
Heat: Rear

2. Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the cake mix and pudding mix until well combined.

3. Combine Wet Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, oil, amaretto, eggs, almond extract, and vanilla extract until well combined.

4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, and whisk until just combined.

5. Add to Prepared Pan

Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and smooth the top.

6. Bake

Rack
Transfer to the oven and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes.

Steam: 50%
Temp: 350°F
Heat: Rear

7. Cool and Serve

Remove the cake from the oven and place on wire cooling rack. Let cool completely before removing from the pan. Top with powdered sugar and serve.
