Cheddar Chive Drop Biscuits

Unfussy biscuits made entirely in a food processor, dropped onto a baking sheet in under 30 minutes. The Anova Precision Oven’s convection function cooks these quickly and evenly creating the perfect browned exterior without drying out the inside. Because the Oven is incredibly precise, you’ll get perfect results every time. Pair with eggs and bacon for a glorious breakfast sandwich.

Cheddar Chive Drop Biscuits
Ingredients
2 cups
All purpose flour
1 Tbsp
Baking powder
1 tsp
Kosher salt
1 Tbsp
Granulated sugar
¼ tsp
Garlic powder
½ tsp
Red pepper flakes
⅛ tsp
Black pepper
1 Tbsp
Freshly minced chives
3 oz
Mild cheddar cheese block
⅓ cup
Cold butter
1 cup
2% milk
2 Tbsp
2% milk
Steps

1. Preheat Oven

Sous Vide Mode: Off
Steam: Off
Temp: 400°F
Heat: Rear
400°F Probe Target

2. Add dry ingredients to food processor

Add flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, spices, and chives to the body of a medium food processor. Pulse 3 times to combine.

3. Grate cheese into food processor

Add the grating attachment onto your food professor and grate cheddar cheese directly into dry mixture.

4. Grate butter into food processor

Repeat this same process with cold butter.

5. Slowly add milk to food processor

Pour milk in several batches into the food processor, pulsing 3 times between each pour. This will bring the very thick batter together.

6. Drop biscuits

Line your Anova solid baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop biscuits using two large spoons onto the baking sheet. This will make six large biscuits.

7. Brush with milk

Brush the top of each biscuit with milk.

9. Cool and serve

Biscuits will be golden brown. Cool for five minutes, then serve with butter.
