Instead of using an unreliable microwave or heating up a pot of water to a boil, use the Anova Precision Cooker in sous vide mode to gently steam your favorite hot dogs. Using the food probe to monitor the cooking time means you’ll always know when the hot dogs are fully heated all the way through, no matter the size or style of dog. Note: This recipe works with any brand and style of hot dog.

Steps

1. Preheat the Oven

Rack
Sous Vide Mode: On
Steam: 100%
Temp: 170°F
Heat: Rear

2. Prepare the Hot Dogs

Insert the probe fully into one of the hot dogs and place all of the hot dogs on a sheet pan.

3. Steam the Hot Dogs

Rack
Transfer to the oven, attach the probe, and cook until the probe reaches its target temperature, about 10 minutes.
Sous Vide Mode: On
Steam: 100%
Temp: 170°F
Heat: Rear
160°F Probe Target

4. Serve

Remove the probe and serve.
