We are taking the famous Chicago Italian Beef Sandwich and turning it into a flat bread pizza!
The Anova Oven steam and Sou vide function gives you a very flavorful tender moist Chicago Italian Shredded Beef!
This is definitely a fun and easy meal to assemble with the family as you make the flatbread pizzas for baking. Using store bought flatbreads from the bakery in your local grocery store makes this recipe that much easier! Plus after searing the roast- it’s pretty much a mix of all ingredients in the pot with the roast then you let the Anova oven do it’s magic!
You can get a few meals out of this recipe when it comes to meal prep. There’s plenty of shredded beef leftovers if you don’t make a lot of flat bread pizzas with this recipe. So that means you can use the leftovers to make Chicago Italian Beef sandwiches and or serve the shredded beef with some mashed potatoes and vegetables.
Recipe Tip: You can find the jars of Hot Giardiniera in your grocery store in the salad dressing aisle and if this ingredient is not available in your local grocery store, use PEPPERONCINI peppers. I provide a baseline of cheese but add as much or as least cheese as you like. I also recommend using shredded cheese to prevent excess moisture on your pizzas.
