If you’re looking for a solid side dish to ribs, burgers or any BBQ -baked beans are a crowd pleaser. Use your Anova Precision Oven to make baked beans from dried beans without a presoak.

Ingredients
1 lb
Dry pinto beans (or navy beans or great northern beans), rinsed and picked through
6 Slices
Cooked bacon, chopped

Vidallia onion, chopped
1
Garlic clove, minced
2 cups
Ketchup
1 cup
Brown sugar
¼ cup
Molasses
1 Tbsp
Worcestershire sauce
3 Tbsp
Spicy mustard
½ Tbsp
Hot sauce
Steps

1. Preheat oven

Steam: 100%
Temp: 190°F
Heat: Rear

2. Prepare dry beans

Add beans and 3 quarts of water to a 4-5 quart dutch oven.

When beans are soft, drain and discard liquid.

4. Make sauce

Whisk ketchup, brown sugar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and hot sauce together in a bowl.

5. Cook bacon, onions and garlic

Cook bacon in a cast iron skillet. Remove and set aside. Cook onions and garlic in the bacon pan for 5 minute until onions are translucent. Transfer to the sauce bowl along with residual bacon fat.

6. Add beans to baking dish

Add cooked and drained beans to a 9 x 13 baking dish.

7. Add sauce and stir to mix

Pour sauce over top. Stir and fold to completely cover beans and spread evenly.

8. Preheat oven

Temp: 300°F
Heat: Top

9. Bake until bubbly
