Easy Cinnamon Cookies

These easy Cinnamon Cookies have the texture of shortbread but with the added cinnamon flavor. They are easy to make with only a few basic ingredients. They are baked using the convection function of the Anova Precision Oven which makes for an even cook.

Easy Cinnamon Cookies
1 cup
Unsalted Butter, softened at room temperature
½ cup
Granulated Sugar
2 cups
All-purpose Flour
¼ tsp
⅛ tsp
Nutmeg (freshly grated) or ground nutmeg
2 tsp
Cinnamon Powder

1. Preheat Oven

Sous Vide Mode: Off
Steam: Off
Temp: 350°F
Heat: Rear

2. Prepare Pan

Line your oven sheet pan with parchment paper.

3. Make Dough

In a medium bowl cream the butter and sugar together for 1 minute. Add all the dry ingredients and mix to form the dough.

4. Shape Dough Into Balls

Roll the dough into little balls. To do this first scoop the dough using a medium cookie scoop then use your hand to roll each portion into a ball. You will need to bake the cookies in 2 badges as you can only bake about 12 cookies at once.

5. Press Cookies With Fork

Press each cookie twice once horizontally and once vertically with a fork.

6. Bake

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Bake for 8 minutes if you want the cookies softer.

7. Cool

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet. They get crispier as they cool.

8. Serve

They are very enjoyable when served warm with a glass of milk.
