Love classic Southern boiled peanuts for game day? Use the Anova Precision Oven to cook boiled peanuts with no fuss. Once they’re finished, season them with anything from salt to red pepper flakes, Cajun seasoning, and beyond.

Ingredients
1 lb
raw peanuts in the shell
2.5 Tbsp
kosher salt
2 quarts
water
Cajun seasoning or additional salt or seasoning of your choice, for serving

1. Preheat Oven

Rack
Sous Vide Mode: Off
Steam: 100%
Temp: 212°F
Heat: Rear

2. Prepare Peanuts

Place the peanuts in a colander and rinse them under cool running water until clean. Transfer to a 3-inch-deep oven-safe baking dish.

3. Season

Sprinkle the peanuts with the kosher salt.

4. Add Water

Pour the water into the dish. It’s okay if the peanuts are floating.

Rack
Transfer to the oven and cook until the peanuts are soft when removed from the shell, 4 hours.

6. Strain

If serving immediately, strain the peanuts from their cooking liquid. If refrigerating for later, keep the peanuts submerged in their liquid.

Transfer the strained peanuts to a serving bowl and toss with Cajun or other seasoning of your choice. Serve warm.
